Super delicious creamy and soft custard cake pudding. The best custard cake recipe.
For Caramel
1/4 cup Sugar
1 tbsp + 2 tbsp Water

For Custard
3 Medium Eggs
168 ml Sweetened Condensed Milk
300 ml Evaporated Milk
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract

For Sponge Cake
2 Egg Yolk
1 tbsp Sugar
1/8 tsp Iodized Salt
1.5 tbsp Vegetable Oil
1.5 to 2 tbsp Evaporated Milk
1/3 cup Cake Flour
1/4 tsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Baking Soda

For Meringue
2 Egg Whites
2 tbsp Sugar

In a sauce pot, caramelize sugar. Pour in a 7″x 3″ rectangular baking pan.

For custard combine eggs, condensed milk, evaporated milk and vanilla extract. Set aside.

For sponge cake, combine egg yolk, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, and evaporated milk. Mix well.

Sift in cake flour, baking soda and baking powder. Mix well.

Beat egg whites and sugar to make the meringue.

Mix meringue and sponge cake mixture.

Pour custard mixture in a pan with caramel, make sure to strain.

Last pour the sponge cake mixture.

Place the pan in a deep baking tray and pour hot water about 1 inch.

Bake in a pre heated oven for 20 minutes (160°C)

After 20 minutes put foil on top of the pan and bake for another 60 to 70 minutes (150°C)

Cool and refrigerate at least 4 hours.
